Project Description
In these very troubling times, as the world responds to the Coronavirus pandemic, donations being made to foodbanks and to the homeless have plummeted, which means that there is a huge gap which needs to be filled.
We were contacted by our friends at Chance Changing Lives who are promising to continue to support our homeless friends and the socially deprived in whatever way they can. They are heartbroken because to comply with government guidelines they have been forced to temporarily close the Saturday Kitchen for the homeless. But they are continuing to take a caring approach to service users by delivering them services at this difficult time. Chance Changing Lives are still there and we must do all we can to assist them.
Last week they delivered essentials and support to 100 adults and 65 children. Amazing work given the circumstances – it costs approximately £4 per person per week of the pandemic – and our donation will go to source food from alternative suppliers for a little while, buying the trustees of Chance some time to source other donors during the pandemic.
We are all in this together❤️
