Our lovely friend Richard Johnson of The Stamford Bridge pub very kindly approached us about holding an outdoor cinema film night in aid of the Foundation. The big question was…what should we choose as George’s favourite film…
Harry and I sat down, and eventually narrowed it down to three choices:
– Cool Runnings ;
– A Knight’s Tale; or
– Notting Hill (“it’s an absolute classic”).
Because of the need to start the film as it is going dark (or face the fact that it will go on really late!) we opted for Friday 12th April!
We arrived early so we could enjoy the delicious food that is always available from the pub…and soon the film was in full flow.
The credits still make me cry (no matter how many times I see the film!)….but on this occasion I was in good company because Richard felt the same way too!
Thank you so much to everyone who came along and enjoyed the film, the company and the setting!
